About Us
Founded in 1992, Jones Myers LLP was the first firm in West Yorkshire to dedicate itself exclusively to family law. There are eleven solicitors, legal executives and trainees, and we have a total dedicated staff of over twenty.
Our reputation has grown substantially during the past sixteen years and our clients and the profession continue to praise our work. Chambers and Legal 500, the profession’s leading reference books, simply describes us as “leaders in the field.”
The firm is managed by three members:
Peter Jones is one of the country’s leading divorce and family lawyers. Renowned for his sympathetic approach, he is a former National Chairman of Resolution - an organisation of over 5000 family lawyers who are committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes. Additionally, he is responsible for driving up standards in the profession as the Chair of their Accreditation Committee.
Richard Peaker has an established reputation in the field of divorce and financial matters - both regionally and nationally. He is highly respected for his professional and easy-going approach and is quoted in Chambers as “lovely to work with.”
Kate Banerjee is a specialist in complex children matters including international child abduction and contact cases. This is an area that requires great knowledge and sensitivity.
