Why congratulations is in order!

We’re delighted to announce that Fiona Kendall, one of the first UK solicitors to train as a collaborative family lawyer and a former vice-chair of the Scottish Family Law Association, has received a well-deserved promoted from senior associate to partner here at Jones Myers. Fiona specialises in financial remedies, typically involving complex assets, pre and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation – on which subject she has co-authored two books.

The first family lawyer practising in Scotland to be dual qualified in English and Scots law, Fiona regularly advises our clients – as well as fellow professionals, I might add – on cross-border issues. She is also fluent in French, a skill she puts to good use when clients require legal documents translated on pan-European cases.

Consistently described as leaders in our field by the esteemed legal guides Chambers and Legal 500, I’m proud to say that Jones Myers was the first firm here in West Yorkshire to dedicate ourselves exclusively to family law. We constantly strive to be a truly leading-edge family law firm and pride ourselves on offering clients the very best in legal expertise with a personal and sympathetic service.

Fiona’s skills – her combination of outstanding legal expertise and her sensitive approach to clients’ problems – make her a real asset to our 25-strong team. She joined us in 2007 and it’s fantastic that she’s now on board as a partner to help us take the firm forward in continually improving our services to our growing number of clients.

Making it a priority to develop our flourishing financial remedies team, Fiona also has ambitions to expand our growing collaborative law service, improving still further our services to clients.
